"The environment is everything that isn't me." --Albert Einstein
The focus of this unit of study is the view of Earth as a global ecosystem.  We will examine the relationships that organisms have with the ecosystem and with each other.  We will also investigate populations and factors that influence and regulate their growth.  We will also investigate animal behavior and how it influences species survival and development.

October 15, 2013  Lab Investigation  In this lab, we will investigate the effects of environmental change on pillbug behavior. We will also learn to use the chi-squared test which will help us to determine how well our predicted data "fits" our actual data. Investigation 2: Investigating Environmental Changes on Pillbug Behavior
October 15, 2013  Topic Review Guide Complete this TRG after you have watched all 3 of the Animal Behavior videos and have completed reading Chapter 41. Animal Behavior TRG
October 15, 2013  Video In this video, Mr. Andersen discusses how behaviors are shaped and influenced by natural selection. Behavior and Natural Selection
October 21, 2013  Lab Investigation This is a sample from my lab notebook of what your Pillbug Behavior lab should look like. NOTE: You may not use the same number of pages so do NOT rely on the number of pages shown here as a guide for the length of your final product. Pillbug Behavior Investigation Lab Notebook Pages
